Spiritual healing
Modern medicine is beginning to catch up with the healing wisdom of ethnic cultures. Numerous scientific studies have noted a connection between many diseases such as high blood pressure, arthritis, heart disease, cancer, etc. and unresolved emotional stress.
At the same time, neuro science is explaining how brain chemistry affects our mental and emotional states.
This technique has been practised by the Maya for generations. When Dr. Rosita Arvigo apprenticed with Don Elijio Panti, she not only learnt the Maya Abdominal Massage but also the Spiritual Healing.
The Maya, as with traditional cultures, recognize diseases of the soul as well as the body and are aware that there are both spiritual and physical causes of illness. Maya Spiritual Healing consists of prayer (appropriate to your faith) , spiritual herbal baths, and incense that serve to re-balance and harmonize the human aura or energy field so that we can attract good into our lives and repel what does not serve our highest purpose.

This healing work addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies of each individual in such a way as to return that person to vitality, peace and well-being. Thus, we are better able to lay down the baggage from the past to realize the fullest potential of a human being as intended by our Divine Creator.
I studed with Rosita, and am now qualified to perform these sessions, but I like to think of them as individual ‘ceremonies’ for people who want to discover them.
Spiritual Healing of the Maya consists of Prayers, Flowers and Herbs, Water and Incense.
They usually last about an hour, but it could be longer or shorter.
The practise is across all religions and is performed in every religion.
One only needs to have faith in a higher power to receive the benefits.

During a Session
In preparation for a session, you will be asked some questions to see what subject would suit you best. The main subjects are :
• Fright, fear or Trauma
• Grief
• A deep rooted Sadness usually from birth
• Anger
• The effects of being on the receiving end of Jelousy
• There are a few others which we can go over personally
They can be practised in or outside. In both cases you will be dressed in a bathing suit or sarong and will need a towel.
Copal Incense is traditionally used to clear the space and allow positive energy to be present.
A bowl or bucket of plants and water will be prepared for you either before your arrival or together. Plants used are most often are Basil, Rosemary, Sage, Marigold and Roses, but may include other safe non toxic plants known for their healing properties.
To start with, prayers are said whilst the incense is wafting over you, then you get splashed with the herbal water all around and over you. During this time you can pray to the deity you most resonate with for your healing. Or meditate and observe what information comes up for you.
After the bath, you will be wrapped in a warm towel and rest, allowing the healing energies to embrace your experience.
At the close of your session, your practitioner may discuss the best way for you to process your experience and teach you the bathing routine to do on your own.
Know that practitioners are here to support your healing process as taught by Rosita Arvigo in Maya Spiritual Healing.
The Benefits of Spiritual healing
Spiritual healing leaves the person, calm, more centered and reflective.
Each persons experience will be their own unique transformation.
Space-clearing for your home or office is also available.
Soul loss leaves people of any age, dispirited, weak, fragmented and disassociated from themselves and the world. Many teenagers and adults make misguided attempts to reconnect with their souls, filling the void with drugs, alcohol, food or obsessive relationships. Therapy may not help because ‘nobody’s home to be helped’.
