Welcome to November.
This month I will give you a VERY quick overview of the Maya Calendar that there is so much talk about at the moment – especially when the new Hollywood block-buster comes out this month about the end of the world in ‘2012’. Of course they have got it all wrong…. But then they think it’s a good thing to get people all psyched up and living in fear!

The Maya Calendar – Long Count, is the only calendar on our planet that is not based on astronomical cycles, but on the spiritual energies which drive the evolution of consciousness….so here I go....

From this graphic explanation below, you can first of all see why the Maya built their buildings in this way, you have the 9 major steps each representing a cycle of linear time.

The 7 days and 6 nights are all different steps we go through during that evolution, days being out in the open and nights being in the dark – the 5th night for example was when the banks collapsed, their hidden workings came to light for the general public to see.

The 1st - Cellular Cycle started 16.4 billion years ago, each of these days and nights lasted 1.26 billion years.  The energy of the time was action and reaction.
The 2nd – Mammalian cycle, this is one step in, so the days and nights are all 20% shorter or another way of putting it – the same amount of things happened but in a smaller time period.

So if you look at each step as it gets shorter, linear time as we know it is cut by 20%.  The energy of the time is written on the right side of the step.

Man has more solid proof of time since the National Cycle which started 3.115 B.C. we know of the Egyptian and Mesopotamian empires that existed at this time and the energy of Law was beginning to be used.  By our standards things were still rather laid back 394 years (of our time) for each of the 7 days and 6 nights.

In 1755 A.D. that was cut by another 20% and suddenly Power became very important – most of us from history lessons over the last 250 years can agree with that – it was the wars and power from technological evolution that became important.

Then again in January 1999 another 20% was taken off and this is where we all noticed what we call ‘time speeding up’ – finding it difficult to get things done in time.  A lot of ‘new age’ books are trying to help us, the ‘Power of Now’ comes to mind, helping us stay in the Present, so that we don’t get submerged and ‘stressed out’.

Each of the 7 days and 6 nights during this period is 1 year (360 days precisely), so what used to happen in 19.7 years is now happening in 1. As you have all noticed we have also been working on ethic’s….

On the 8th of November 2009 we go into the 6th night of this period of evolution. 
The 3rd of November 2010 will be the beginning of the 7th day of this period.

The 28th October 2011 will be the end of this calendar and the evolution of our consciousness.  Those of us who wish to will then be ready to go forth into the 4th dimension completely.
Those of us who are still in the power struggle, and haven’t managed to pick up some of the new ethic’s floating around at the moment will be pulled up with the others – no one will be left behind.

Enjoy the ride – it might be bumpy for some, but it is all a way of helping us evolve and be ready for our next adventure in the 4th dimension – or as it was called in the musical Hair - The age of Aquarius, (Great song/s worth listening to again).

The 21st December 2012 is the date when quite a number of our planets are in alignment which astrologists say will be the beginning of something new.
